Verde Questlines Guide
Named story tracks from the first garden to snow, without heavy spoilers.
Verde’s campaign is a stack of mailbox quests wrapped in a light Mage Academy story. Steam achievements reveal the named questlines and the main quest checkpoints that gate Dewdrop Valley’s three biomes. This page maps those tracks so you know which district to build next. It avoids plot spoilers beyond job titles and region names.
Use Campaign Walkthrough for pacing, Biomes Overview for climate kits, and Achievements for the trophy list. Patch 1.0.2 lets you click tutorial objectives to reveal steps — do that before you assume a quest is bugged. See Patch Notes and Troubleshooting.
Watch the embedded first-look session in the middle of this page for a sense of early-town tempo, then come back to the named tracks below.
Main quest spine
- Green Thumb — Clear Main Quest 1-4. This is the starter-garden exam: housing, water, lifestyle needs, decoration, and first land buys. Getting Started covers the same minutes.
- A Sunny Day / A Day at the Beach — Unlock the Beach Region, then clear Main Quest 2-4. Cooling fans join the kit. Unlock Regions.
- Snow Warning / Winter Wonderland — Unlock the Snow Region, then clear Main Quest 3-4. Winter comfort tools join the kit.
Think of 1-4, 2-4, and 3-4 as “finish the current climate’s story homework,” not as combat chapters. There is no multiplayer raid waiting after 3-4.
Builder and Garden (starter climate)
- Nailing the Vibe — Finish the Builder questline. Expect placement, customization, and “make it look like a town” tasks. Keep Building Customization nearby.
- Big Beautiful Garden — Finish the Garden questline. This is restoration and greenery: distributors, plants, and appeal. Water and Resources and Decorations Priority help when percentages stall.
These two tracks teach the paintbrush and the heat map. Do not rush the beach until both feel comfortable.
Fisherman and Surfer (beach climate)
- Angler — Finish the Fisherman questline. Shoreline specials and beach-adjacent shops show up here. Place them on sand after fans are online.
- Surf’s Up — Finish the Surfer questline. This is the personality pass on the tropic district: leisure buildings, paths to the water, screenshot bait.
If either quest names a tropic land purchase, pan the entire border. Wrong-biome plus icons will not tick A Sunny Day.
Ice and Snow / Winter Wonders (snow climate)
- Do you wanna build a snowman? — Finish Ice and Snow.
- One Horse Open Sleigh — Finish Winter Wonders.
Copy the beach lesson: utilities first, tiny housing test, then flavor buildings. Special-category winter pieces also feed Specialty Collector. Biome Buildings ranks the climate kit.
Photo Mode, weather, and optional gags
Quest rewards sprinkle Photo Mode borders (Border Enthusiast / Collector / Connoisseur), night (Into the Night), and rain (Make it Rain). None of these are fail states. Use them when a questline hands you the toy. The collision joke I’m Walkin’ Here! is not a questline; bump a Seedlet once and move on.
How to keep the mailbox kind
- Collect rewards immediately so blueprints appear.
- Click the pinned objective after 1.0.2.
- Prefer the heat map over building counts for percentage quests.
- Finish Builder/Garden before you starve Leaves on snow dirt.
- If a named questline vanishes from the UI, check the quest tab’s completed filter — Next Fest demo work already polished that view; the full game keeps the habit.
Sandbox note
Sandbox still cares whether Seedlets are happy, but it will not narrate Mage Academy club drama. You can hunt population and income trophies there while leaving story questlines on a campaign save. Sandbox Mode.
Verde’s questlines are postcards from each climate. Read the name, build the matching kit, and let the owl (and the now-clickable tutorial) do the rest.
Frequently Asked Questions

How many named questlines are there?
Six on the achievement list: Builder, Garden, Fisherman, Surfer, Ice and Snow, and Winter Wonders, plus the main quest 1-4 / 2-4 / 3-4 spine.
Do questlines spoil the story?
This page only uses job titles and region names. It does not recap cutscenes.
Can I finish snow quests in the demo?
The public demo focused on the first region and a beach-style spike. Snow is a full-game unlock.
What if a quest will not complete?
Click the objective (patch 1.0.2), check biome land type, then open Troubleshooting before restarting the save.
